Cartoons and the Food Network comprise 90 percent of my television viewing. The above title is from Fairly OddParents, when Artie Liebowitz pulls the sword from the stone. FOP makes me laugh hysterically almost every episode, as does El Tigre (a Samurai-Jack-esque ‘toon). SpongeBob and Jimmy Neutron follow as enjoyable time-wasting shows, along with the weird and colorful Wow Wow Wubbzy series on Nick Jr. I don’t know what it is about cartoons—the non-threatening entertainment, the indulgence of my inner child…who knows. Now if they made a cartoon about food, I’d be set. Bring on the TiVo.
